Carte du Jour

February 1, 2013

I am completely obsessed with smoothies! I have been looking for a blueberry smoothie that I really like. There are a lot of juices that you can combine and make it delicious. But this creation is genius! And its under 300 calories. Can you say breakfast every day of my life! I could die!

Try this!!

2 to 3 servings
6oz orange juice
4oz skim milk
2 cups blueberries ( I like to use frozen because they are available year around and make it awesome and cold, without need for extra ice!)
2/3 cup fat free vanilla greek yogurt
I love to put a scoop of protein powder, but it is certainly not needed.

Crock-pot Salisbury Steak over Mashed Potatoes!

I saw this on pinterest and thought that it looked so delicious! and It is so easy! Send your tastebuds on a journey!

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, and milk using your hands. Shape into 8 patties.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge the patties in flour just to coat, and quickly brown on both sides in the hot skillet. Place browned patties into the slow cooker stacking alternately like a pyramid. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, au jus mix, and water. Pour over the meat. Cook on the Low setting for 4 or 5 hours, until ground beef is well done.
